Windows 10 Pro license: Error message on activation

I GET THE ERROR MESSAGE 0XC004F074, I CAN’T ACTIVATE WINDOWS

Most likely you have an ‘N’ version of Windows 10 Home or Pro. Check and see if this is the case by following: Settings -> Update -> Activation -> Edition. Is the ‘Windows 10 Pro N’ version listed here under ‘Edition’? Unfortunately, these licenses cannot be installed on N versions of Windows 10. A license for these editions of Windows 10 is way more expensive.


What is a Windows 10 Pro N version?

Microsoft’s official explanation:

“The N and KN editions of Windows 10 include the same functionality as Windows 10, with the exception of media-related technologies (Windows Media Player) and certain pre-installed media apps (Groove Music, Video, Voice Recorder and Skype). You must install other software from Microsoft or a third party for these communications and play or play audio CDs, media files, and video DVDs, stream music, create and record music, and store photos. New features such as Cortana and PDF viewer in the new Edge browser are based on Windows Media files not included in these editions. I GET THE ERROR MESSAGE 0XC004C008, THE WINDOWS LICENSE IS ALREADY IN USE

This is almost always a Windows error. Most of the time, this problem can be solved easily. Follow this simple step-by-step plan:
1. Click on Start and type in: slui.exe 4 or slui.exe 4.
2. Press ENTER
3. Select your country (Netherlands)
4. Press Phone Activation and follow the instructions

Windows 10 Pro license: Questions and answers

Windows 10 can be downloaded from the official Microsoft website. We will also send you the link to the official Windows 10 download in the mail, together with your ordered license code(s).

1. Click on Start and press Settings (cogwheel, bottom left)
2. Press Update and Security
3. Select Activation in the left panel
4. Press Change product code or Activate and follow the instructions

The licenses we sell are so-called retail licenses. This means that these licenses are not only for new computers, but also for existing computers with a Windows 10 installation. The license can therefore be used for new and existing installations.

When the hardware of your PC or laptop does not change too drastically, Windows 10 can be reactivated with the same product code. Examples of non-drastic hardware changes are:

  • Replacing your traditional HDD (hard drive) with an SSD;
  • Upgrading your working memory (e.g. from 4GB to 8GB).
  • Adding or upgrading a video card.

Examples of drastic changes are

  • Upgrading or replacing your processor;
  • Upgrading or replacing your motherboard;
  • A combination of the two above.

Note: Windows 10 generates a hardware ID for your computer. Based on this hardware ID, your computer is activated. The license is thus linked to the hardware ID of your computer. Installing Windows 10 while on Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 is easy. Your files are saved, only your programs will not exist in some instances. But usually this can also be preserved.

How can I upgrade? :

  1. Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO
  2. Select a Windows 10 option, select a language and click Download.
  3. Open the downloaded file and run the updater.
  4. After installation you can enter the product code.

Microsoft Office (Pro Plus 2019): Activation errors

WHERE CAN I ENTER THE LICENSE?

1. Go to the official Microsoft Office website.

2. Create an account or log in with your existing Microsoft account.

3. Enter the product code you received from us by email, or view it in ‘My Account‘.

4. Follow the instructions and install Microsoft Office 2019 Professional Plus.

I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE, THE MICROSOFT OFFICE LICENSE DOES NOT WORK

The Microsoft Office license does not work for Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019. We advise you to check the official Microsoft website for help and activation instructions.

HOW AND WHERE DO I GET MY LICENSE?

The license you bought will be sent by email. If you log in with PayPal, the PayPal email address will be used. The license is usually sent within 10 minutes!

CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?

Yes, you can! You can do this under the heading ‘My Account -> Track my order’. Another option is to log in, go to ‘My Account‘, and click on ‘Orders‘ to view all your purchased licenses.

Returns and other questions

Can I return an order?

It is of course possible to exchange or return your order (provided that your ordered product does not fall under a legal exception). Please contact us via info@windowslicenties.nl.

How can I return my order?

You have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving a reason. After cancellation you have another 14 days to return your product. You will then be credited with the full order amount including any shipping costs. If you exercise your right of withdrawal, the product with all delivered accessories and – if reasonably possible – in its original condition will be returned to us. To exercise this right, please contact us via info@windowslicenties.nl. We will then refund the order amount due within 14 days after notification of your return, provided that the product has already been returned in good order. You need to send us the invoice.
